I suppose it is an unwritten rule of the internet that anyone with a web page must have personal information on line to accompany that web page so here it is...
- Born: November 1, 1971 in a suburb of Chicago, IL
- Moved to Memphis, TN, in 1974 and have been home there ever since.
Dad moved to Rapid City, SD, in 1984, so I've been home there ever since, too.

- Duke University Class of 1993 (BSE in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Science). A courselist is available, and not for the faint of heart.
- Duke Navy ROTC 1989-1993, Commissioned as an Ensign in the Naval Reserve in 1993. Promoted to Lieutenant (junior grade) in 1995, Lieutenant in 1998, and Lieutenant Commander in 2003.

Current Information

- Right now I am a Lecturer at the Pratt School of Engineering, Duke University. I am also teach in two departments - the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I also work with the Duke Naval ROTC program.

- I am in the United States Naval Reserve, currently in the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR). I have previously served as Unit Officer in Charge of BFIMA 0623 Det 1 in Norfolk, Virginia, Unit Commanding Officer of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 24 Detachment 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina,Unit Commanding Officer of Amphibious Construction Battalion 2 Detachment 107 in Raleigh, NC, and Science and Research Liaison Officer with Naval Research Laboratories Science and Technology Unit 307 in Raleigh, North Carolina
